Journal ArticleDOI
A sol–gel monolithic metal–organic framework with enhanced methane uptake
Tian Tian,Zhixin Zeng,Diana Vulpe,Mirian Elizabeth Casco,Giorgio Divitini,Paul A. Midgley,Joaquín Silvestre-Albero,Jin-Chong Tan,Peyman Z. Moghadam,David Fairen-Jimenez +9 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of a porous monolithic metal-organic framework (MOF) is reported, which after successful packing and densification reaches 259 cm3 (STP) cm-3 capacity, which is the highest value reported to date for conformed shape porous solids, and represents a greater than 50% improvement over any previously reported experimental value.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amorphous metal-organic frameworks for drug delivery
Claudia Orellana-Tavra,Emma F. Baxter,Tian Tian,Thomas D. Bennett,Nigel K. H. Slater,Anthony K. Cheetham,David Fairen-Jimenez +6 more
TL;DR: Calcein encapsulation in the Zr-based MOF UiO-66 is reported, followed by amorphization of the framework by ball-milling, and controlled release of calcein over more than 30 days is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
A general approach for hysteresis-free, operationally stable metal halide perovskite field effect transistors
Satyaprasad P. Senanayak,Satyaprasad P. Senanayak,Mojtaba Abdi-Jalebi,Mojtaba Abdi-Jalebi,Varun S. Kamboj,Remington Carey,Ravichandran Shivanna,Tian Tian,Tian Tian,Guillaume Schweicher,Junzhan Wang,Nadja Giesbrecht,Daniele Di Nuzzo,Harvey E. Beere,Pablo Docampo,Pablo Docampo,David A. Ritchie,David A. Ritchie,David Fairen-Jimenez,Richard H. Friend,Henning Sirringhaus +20 more
TL;DR: It is shown that multiple cation incorporation using strain-relieving cations like Cs and Rb, which act as passivation/crystallization modifying agents, is an effective strategy for reducing vacancy concentration and ion migration in perovskite FETs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanically and chemically robust ZIF-8 monoliths with high volumetric adsorption capacity
TL;DR: In this article, an easy synthetic procedure to produce large, crystalline, mechanically and chemically robust ZIF-8 monoliths without using any binders or high pressures is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene-wrapped sulfur/metal organic framework-derived microporous carbon composite for lithium sulfur batteries
Renjie Chen,Teng Zhao,Tian Tian,Shuai Cao,Paul R. Coxon,Kai Xi,David Fairen-Jimenez,R. Vasant Kumar,Anthony K. Cheetham +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a hierarchical sandwich-type graphene sheet-sulfur/carbon (GS-S/CZIF8-D) composite for use in a cathode for a lithium sulfur (Li-S) battery has been prepared by an ultrasonic method.
