Journal ArticleDOI

A sol–gel monolithic metal–organic framework with enhanced methane uptake

TL;DR: The synthesis of a porous monolithic metal-organic framework (MOF) is reported, which after successful packing and densification reaches 259 cm3 (STP) cm-3 capacity, which is the highest value reported to date for conformed shape porous solids, and represents a greater than 50% improvement over any previously reported experimental value.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amorphous metal-organic frameworks for drug delivery

TL;DR: Calcein encapsulation in the Zr-based MOF UiO-66 is reported, followed by amorphization of the framework by ball-milling, and controlled release of calcein over more than 30 days is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanically and chemically robust ZIF-8 monoliths with high volumetric adsorption capacity

TL;DR: In this article, an easy synthetic procedure to produce large, crystalline, mechanically and chemically robust ZIF-8 monoliths without using any binders or high pressures is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphene-wrapped sulfur/metal organic framework-derived microporous carbon composite for lithium sulfur batteries

TL;DR: In this article, a hierarchical sandwich-type graphene sheet-sulfur/carbon (GS-S/CZIF8-D) composite for use in a cathode for a lithium sulfur (Li-S) battery has been prepared by an ultrasonic method.
