Large-Scale Object Detection in the Wild From Imbalanced Multi-Labels
TL;DR: This work designs a concurrent softmax to handle the multi-label problems in object detection and proposes a soft-sampling methods with hybrid training scheduler to deal with the label imbalance.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Tracking people through occlusions
Min Hu,Weiming Hu,Tieniu Tan +2 more
TL;DR: A Bayesian network is introduced, which involves human 2D ellipse models and an extra hidden process for occlusion relation, which indicates the depth information of people through occlusions in people tracking.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cast Shadow Removal in a Hierarchical Manner Using MRF
Zhou Liu,Kaiqi Huang,Tieniu Tan +2 more
TL;DR: A novel method for shadow removal using Markov random fields (MRF) is presented, which makes the pre-classifier accurate and adaptive to the change of shadow by using the statistical features of shadow at the global level.
Book ChapterDOI
Combining fingerprint and voiceprint biometrics for identity verification: An experimental comparison
TL;DR: This paper compares 13 combination methods in the context of combining the voiceprint and fingerprint recognition system in two different modes: verification and identification and shows that Support Vector Machine and the Dempster-Shafer method are superior to other schemes.
