Journal ArticleDOI

Growth responses of three ornamental plants to Cd and Cd-Pb stress and their metal accumulation characteristics.

TL;DR: The growth responses and possible phytoremediation ability of three ornamental plants selected from the previous preliminary experiments were further examined and showed that these tested plants had higher tolerance to Cd and Pb contamination and could effectively accumulate the metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sampling 4-chlorophenol in water by DGT technique with molecularly imprinted polymer as binding agent and nylon membrane as diffusive layer.

TL;DR: The results showed that NM-MIP-DGT could sample 4- CP in synthetic solution accurately and can be a potential passive tool for sampling the free form of 4-CP in water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of polymer-bound Schiff base as a new liquid binding agent of diffusive gradients in thin-films for the measurement of labile Cu²⁺, Cd²⁺ and Pb²⁺.

TL;DR: The uptake of labile metals showed agreement with the theoretical values of free ions in EDTA solution, and decreased with increase of humic acid (HA) and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) contents in water due to the complexation of HA and DOC with metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultra-high adsorption of tetracycline antibiotics on garlic skin-derived porous biomass carbon with high surface area

TL;DR: In this article, a garlic skin-derived porous biomass carbon (GSP-BC) material with an ultra-high specific surface area was prepared using KOH as an activator.
