Mechanical properties and microstructures of cast Ti-Cu alloys.
Masafumi Kikuchi,Yukyo Takada,Seigo Kiyosue,Masanobu Yoda,Margaret Woldu,Zhuo Cai,Osamu Okuno,Toru Okabe +7 more
TL;DR: Ti-Cu alloys, such as the 5% Cu alloy, could be used for prosthetic dental applications if other properties necessary for dental castings are obtained and increases in the tensile strength and yield strength over CP Ti were obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical characterization of cast titanium alloys.
TL;DR: Results indicate that the surface condition has more effect on corrosion of these alloys than the surface reaction layer, and all the metal/surface combinations examined showed excellent corrosion resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro corrosion resistance of titanium made using different fabrication methods.
TL;DR: The surface roughness appears to be a more prominent factor than do the surface reaction layers on the polarization behavior of the CP titanium under the present experimental conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Pressure Difference on the Quality of Titanium Casting
TL;DR: This study tested the hypothesis that differences in pressure produce castings with various amounts of porosity and different mechanical properties values, and found that by choosing an argon pressure difference suitable for this geometry, castings which have adequate mechanical properties and low porosity levels were produced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shear bond strengths of polymethyl methacrylate to cast titanium and cobalt-chromium frameworks using five metal primers.
TL;DR: The application of 5 primers significantly improved the shear bond strengths of a denture base resin to cast CP titanium, Ti-6Al-4V, and Co-Cr alloy.
