TL;DR: It is shown that commensal Gram-positive bacteria trigger the mobilization of inflammatory monocytes and macrophages into the colon in a mouse dextran sodium sulfate-induced colitis model, providing previously undiscovered evidence that Gram- positive commensals induce colitis by recruiting colitogenic monocytes/macrophages.

TL;DR: It is reported that c-di-GMP comprehensively regulated both HSPCs and their niche cells through an innate immune sensor, STING, thereby inducing entry into the cell cycle and mobilization of HSPC while decreasing the number and repopulation capacity of long-term hematopoietic stem cells.
