Air-stable n-type tellurium nanowires coordinated by large organic salts

TL;DR: In this paper, the modulation of majority carriers in semiconductor nanowires by the addition of organic salts was studied, and it was shown that the p-type nanowsires were successfully converted to n-type forms to which large cations such as onium ions and metal-crown ether complexes are coordinated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel properties of conducting polymer-liquid crystal system and their doping effect

TL;DR: In this article, two types of system, conducting polymer-nematic liquid crystal system and conducting polymerferroelectric liquid crystal systems were prepared by casting the solution with common solvent, and the structure of the system observed by a microscope was strongly dependent on concentration of liquid crystal and molecular structures of conducting polymer and liquid crystals.

Structural analysis device and structural analysis method

TL;DR: A molecular structure analysis device of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes: a light source for illuminating, with exciting light, a measurement sample including a molecule to be structurally analyzed to which molecule a rare earth complex is bonded; a measurement section for receiving light emitted from the measurement sample and for measuring intensities of spectra of the light; a calculation section for performing normalization in which intensities, including a line spectrum due to electric dipole transition among the measured intensity values, are normalized by an intensity at one wavelength due to magnetic dipoles transition; and an

Optical Properties of Poly(Isothianaphthene)

TL;DR: The optical properties in poly(isothianaphthene), PITN, have been investigated by photoconductivity measurements and in situ optical absorption spectroscopy measurements during electrochemical n-type doping as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low background estimation of metallic-to-semiconducting carbon nanotube ratio by using infrared spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy to detect pure semiconducting fractions of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in solid-state CNT thin films.
