Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of As(V), Cr(III) and Cr(VI) from aqueous environments by poly(acrylonitril-co-acrylamidopropyl-trimethyl ammonium chloride)-based hydrogels

TL;DR: Hydrogels synthesized by using acrylonitrile and 3-acrylamidopropyl-trimethyl ammonium chloride as monomers were exposed to amidoximation reaction to replace hydrophobic nitrile groups with hydrophilic amidoxime groups that have metal ion binding ability, increasing the hydrogels absorption capacity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and preparation of responsive poly(Dimethyl acrylamide/gelatin and pomegranate extract) as a novel food packaging material.

TL;DR: It was concluded that MFH is a very good candidate to be used as biodegradable food packaging material and antimicrobial activity and stability of MFH were investigated when it was tested in harsh environments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Organo-hydrogel based Agar, Glycerol and Peppermint Oil as a Natural Drug Carrier/Release Material

TL;DR: It was determined that organo-hydrogels were blood compatible and had antioxidant properties based on hemolysis, blood clotting and antioxidant analysis and might easily be used as drug carrier and controlled drug release materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developing poly(Agar-co-Glycerol-co-Thyme Oil) based Organo-hydrogels for the controlled drug release applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the synthesis, characterization and drug release behaviors of organo-hydrogels containing pH-sensitive Agar (A), Glycerol (G), Thyme Oil (TO), N, N, methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) or glutaraldehyde (GA) reagent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Smart Food Packaging from Poly (Gelatin-co-Dimethyl Acrylamide) / Citric Acid-Red Apple peel Extract

TL;DR: In this article, a smart hydrogel was synthesized from N, N dimethyl acrylamide (DMAAm), gelatin, and citric acid (CA) red apple peel extract (RApE) to be utilized as a multi-functional food packaging mat.
