Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of sleep disorders in cancer patients based on Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index.
TL;DR: PSQI questionnaire may be used to evaluate the sleep disorders in cancer patients and consistent use of multi-item measures such as PSQI with established reliability and validity would improve the understanding of difficulties experienced by cancer patients with chronic insomnia.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Preventive Effect of Oxytocin to Cisplatin-Induced Neurotoxicity: An Experimental Rat Model
TL;DR: The administration of OT significantly ameliorated the EMG alterations, suppressed oxidative stress and inflammatory parameters, and increased antioxidative capacity, and it is suggested that oxytocin may have beneficial effects against cisplatin-induced neurotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic factors for teenage and adult patients with high-grade osteosarcoma: an analysis of 240 patients
Ayse Durnali,Necati Alkis,Şengül Cangür,Fisun Ardic Yukruk,Ali Inal,Saadet Tokluoglu,Mehmet Metin Seker,Oznur Bal,Tulay Akman,Mevlude Inanc,Abdurrahman Isikdogan,Ayşe Demirci,Kaan Helvaci,Berna Oksuzoglu +13 more
TL;DR: Evaluated clinicopathological characteristics, prognostic factors and treatment outcomes of teenage and adult patients with high-grade osteosarcoma showed that male gender, high baseline lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level, and presence of metastasis at diagnosis were significantly associated with poor survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
The clinical and pathological features of 133 colorectal cancer patients with brain metastasis: a multicenter retrospective analysis of the Gastrointestinal Tumors Working Committee of the Turkish Oncology Group (TOG).

TL;DR: Brain metastasis develops late in the period of colorectal cancer and prognosis in these patients is poor, however, early screening of brain metastases in patients with lung metastasis may improve survival outcomes with new treatment modalities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical outcomes in patients who received lapatinib plus capecitabine combination therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer with brain metastasis and a comparison of survival with those who received trastuzumab-based therapy: a study by the Anatolian Society of Medical Oncology

TL;DR: It is suggested that undergoing lapatinib plus capecitabine therapy after the diagnosis of brain metastasis may further improve survival compared to undergoing only trastuzumab-based therapy.
