Recycling NSs to ultrashort periods: a statistical analysis of their evolution in the "magnetic moment vs period" plane

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the statistical evolution of magnetic neutron stars recycled in Low Mass Binary (LMB) systems, simulating synthetic populations, and find significant the fraction of neutron stars spinning close to their mass shedding limit relative to the millisecond pulsar population.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic field amplification in newly-born neutron stars

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a scenario of magnetic field evolution of newly-born neutron stars (NSs) and showed that in the hot phase of young NSs, the magnetic field can be amplified by thermoelectric effects, starting from a moderately strong seed-field.

Molecular Hydrogen Bubbles Formation on Thin Vacuum Deposited Aluminum Layers After Proton Irradiation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the process of H2-bubble formation on metallic surfaces and presented a thermodynamic model of the bubble growth and the reflectivity of foils populated by bubbles.
