Quantitative assessment of grassland quality: acoustic determination of population sizes of orthopteran indicator species

TL;DR: For assessment of the quality of biotopes and their sub-biotopes, the numerical proportion between euryoecious and xerophilic grasshoppers was calculated and proved to be an excellent parameter and provided a rapid, well-reproducible, and detailed method to measure the eutrophication of grassland habitats.
Journal Article

Animal diversity on short-rotation coppices - a review.

TL;DR: The habitat structures of a SRC change as its age increases and the composition of the biocoenoses also changes as a result, and the biodiversity in SRC is enhanced most significantly by the structural richness within the poplar or willow blocks and in the peripheral areas.

Quantifying environmental effects of Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) on biodiversity, soil and water

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an unbiased, authoritative statement on this topic based on a review of relevant scientific literature, quantifying environmental effects of short rotation coppice (SRC) on biodiversity, soil and water.
Journal Article

The impact of Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) cultivation on the environment

TL;DR: This presentation introduces the vTI series on SRC and environmental issues, which aims to explain the development of physical resource theory in the context of climate change and sustainable development.
