Perceived host gaze in the context of short-term mission trips

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a case focusing on Thai and Cambodian locals' gazes as perceived by US and South Korean short-term mission travellers. But the findings suggest a diverse set of cultural values needs to be considered in this context and illustrate the complexities emerging from encounters with non-Christian hosts.

Measuring Ongoing Travel Information Search

TL;DR: In this article, an exploratory factor analysis suggests that there are two dimensions to ongoing travel information search which were termed passive consumption and active collection, and significant differences in individuals' propensity to engage in ongoing search were found for gender, education and household size.
