Journal ArticleDOI

Pulsatile gonadotropin-releasing hormone therapy is associated with earlier spermatogenesis compared to combined gonadotropin therapy in patients with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

TL;DR: It is found that pulsatile GnRH therapy was associated with earlier spermatogenesis and larger testicular size compared to combined gonadotropin therapy and additional prospective randomized studies would be required to confirm these findings.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Role of Prokineticins in the Pathogenesis of Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism

TL;DR: Evidence from several naturally inactivating mutations in the PROK2 and PROKR2 genes in patients with Kallmann syndrome and normosmic hypogonadotropic hypog ongonadism indicate the essential role of PRok2 in olfactory bulb morphogenesis and GnRH secretion in humans.
Journal ArticleDOI

The DNA and steroid binding domains of the glucocorticoid receptor are not altered in mononuclear cells of treated CLL patients.

TL;DR: None of the treated patients revealed any mutation, suggesting that the glucocorticoid receptor in the CLL patients tested is not altered in these domains, and mechanisms other than altered ligand or DNA binding of the receptor may be responsible for the lack of response to chemotherapy.
