TL;DR: In this article, a diode-pumped thin-disk epitaxial laser with 5 at. % Tm:KLu(WO4)2/KLu (WO 4)2 emits in the 1850-1920nm spectral range with slope efficiency of 47% and maximum output power of ~6 W in continuous-wave operation.

TL;DR: In this article, a Tm3+-doped disordered CNGG-type garnet generated 78 fs pulses at 2017 nm, where the host material can provide inhomogeneous broadening of the emission spectra beyond 2 μm.
