Vibronic thulium laser at 2131 nm Q-switched by single-walled carbon nanotubes

TL;DR: In this paper, a vibronic Tm3+:KLu(WO4)2 microchip laser at ∼2.13μm is demonstrated. And the authors achieved the longest wavelength in this mode of operation, to the best of their knowledge.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laser operation with nearly diffraction-limited output from a Yb:YAG multimode channel waveguide

Uwe Griebner, +1 more
- 01 Jun 1999 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a crystal channel-waveguide laser consisting of a diffusion-bonded Yb:YAG-YAG core-cladding structure was reported, with up to 1-W output power and a low threshold.
Journal ArticleDOI

Yb:KYW planar waveguide laser Q-switched by evanescent-field interaction with carbon nanotubes.

TL;DR: Q-switched operation of a planar waveguide laser by evanescent-field interaction with single-walled carbon nanotubes deposited on top of the waveguide is reported, achieving maximum output powers of up to 30 mW, corresponding to a single-pulse energy of 124 nJ, at 241 kHz repetition rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microchip laser operation of Tm,Ho:KLu(WO₄)₂ crystal.

TL;DR: A microchip laser is realized on the basis of a monoclinic Tm,Ho-codoped KLu(WO₄)₂crystal cut for light propagation along the Ng optical indicatrix axis, as well as the demonstrated perfect circular beam profile.
