Segmented solid-state laser resonators with graded reflectance micro-mirror analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-imaging unstable positive branch resonator configurations including GRMMA have been tested with flashlamp-pumped Nd:glass rod lasers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative study of Yb:KYW planar waveguide lasers Q-switched by direct- and evanescent-field interaction with carbon nanotubes.

TL;DR: From the calculation of the configuration-dependent stability range, the beam size and the electric field distribution in the Yb:KYW planar waveguide, it is confirmed that the evanescent- field interaction scheme makes stable Q-switching possible with much lower intensities at saturable absorber compared to the direct-field interaction scheme in the presented waveguide laser operation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Tm:CaGdAlO4: spectroscopy, microchip laser and passive Q-switching by carbon nanostructures

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-walled carbon nanotubes (CVD-grown graphene and randomly-oriented arc-discharge singlewalled single-nodes (SWCNTs) in a PMMA film were used for passive Q-switching of the Tm:CaGdAlO4 laser-saturable absorbers.

Growth and continuous-wave laser operation of disordered crystals of

TL;DR: In this article, ordered and disordered phases with sepa-rate sites for monovalent alkali cations and trivalent cations are described. But the sepa rate sites for the trivalents are not known.
