Journal ArticleDOI

Vehicular traffic noise prediction using soft computing approach.

TL;DR: A new approach for the development of vehicular traffic noise prediction models is presented, whereby four different soft computing methods have been used to develop models to predict the hourly equivalent continuous sound pressure level, Leq, at different locations in the Patiala city in India.
Journal ArticleDOI

Attribute based specification, comparison and selection of electroplating system using MADM approach

TL;DR: The objective of this paper is to propose a methodology by which selection of electroplating product/plant can be made easy, and shows that it can benefit the designers, users or manufacturers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural modeling and analysis of an effluent treatment process for electroplating--a graph theoretic approach.

TL;DR: An attempt is made to address a few ecological and environment issues by developing different structural models for effluent treatment system for electroplating by developing graph theoretic model, matrix models and variable permanent function model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Linear Stability Analysis of Hydrodynamic Journal Bearings with a Flexible Liner and Micropolar Lubrication

TL;DR: In this paper, a linear stability analysis of hydrodynamic journal bearings is presented, including the effects of elastic distortion of the liner and micropolar lubrication, and the results show that stability decreases with an increase in the value of the elasticity parameter of the bearing linings.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design for X-Abilities of a Mechatronic System-A Concurrent Engineering and Graph Theory Based Approach

TL;DR: A methodology which amalgamates concurrent design concepts, graph theory, matrix algebra, and permanent multinomial is proposed and the design index derived is useful for researcher and designer in evaluating the conceptual design alternatives.
