Why overlearned sequences are special: distinct neural networks in the right hemisphere for ordinal sequences
TL;DR: The findings here show that overlearned sequences involve an unexpected right hemispheric activation in both the middle temporal gyrus and temporoparietal junction, which offers a framework for understanding neuropsychological patterns seen in conditions such as synesthesia and semantic dementia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Why overlearned sequences are special: distinct neural networks for ordinal sequences
TL;DR: Using functional neuroimaging, it is shown that words in ordinal categories are processed in a fronto-temporo-parietal network biased toward the right hemisphere, which differs from words in non-ordinal categories, which show an expected bias toward the left hemisphere.
Patent
Device and method for rapid measurement of repetition suppression in the brain
TL;DR: For instance, when a single visual stimulus (e.g., letter of the alphabet, word, object, face) is serially flashed in different locations of a display, several stimuli appear to be present simultaneously due to an effect known as persistence of vision.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acknowledging Lack of Inclusion in Genetic Analyses.
TL;DR: The JAMA Psychiatry journal is published by the American Medical Association (AMA) as mentioned in this paper , with a focus on the treatment of mental health issues and its effect on patients' mental health.
