Gold Complexes with Dithiothiophene Ligands: A Metal Based on a Neutral Molecule

TL;DR: Interestingly, the neutral complex [Au(alpha-tpdt)2] (8) as a polycrystalline sample displays the properties of a metallic system with a room temperature electrical conductivity of 6 S x cm(-1) and a thermoelectric power of 5.5 microVK(-1); this is the first time that this metallic property has been observed in a molecular system based on a neutral species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systolic and diastolic dysfunction in cirrhosis: a tissue-Doppler and speckle tracking echocardiography study.

TL;DR: Evaluating cardiac function in cirrhosis patients assessing left ventricular systolic and diastolic function using speckle‐tracking imaging and tissue‐Doppler based algorithm and comparing it with previously proposed definition of diastolics dysfunction (DD).
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Epicardial and Visceral Fat on Left Ventricular Diastolic and Systolic Functions in Patients After Myocardial Infarction

TL;DR: In patients after myocardial infarction, impaired LV diastolic function was associated with increased adiposity, especially with visceral and central fat parameters, and increasing EFV was independently associated with worse LV diastsolic function.
