Personality Structure as Derived From Parental Ratings of Free Descriptions of Children: The Inventory of Child Individual Differences

TL;DR: Based on over 50,000 parental descriptors of children gathered in eight different countries, a combination of focus group sorting of descriptors in each country and factor analyses of instruments developed in four countries to describe children ages 3 to 12 years to select items for an instrument that would work well across countries to access personality.

Personality correlates of party preference: The Big Five in five big European countries

TL;DR: The Big Five Model was used to assess the role of personality traits in orienting voting choice across five European countries (n = 1288) and found that the Big Five were linked to party preference in theoretically consistent ways as discussed by the authors.
