Journal ArticleDOI
Polynuclear complexes: two amino-phenol macrocycles spaced by several linear polyamines; synthesis, binding properties, and crystal structure.
Gianluca Ambrosi,Mauro Formica,Vieri Fusi,Luca Giorgi,Eleonora Macedi,Mauro Micheloni,Paola Paoli,Patrizia Rossi +7 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and characterization of the new polytopic ligands 1,14-bis(3,6,9-triaza-15-hydroxybicyclo), containing two equal amino-phenol macrocycles spaced by several linear tetraamines, are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
[Zn2(µ-OH)2]2+ Cluster assembly inside a new macrobicyclic ditopic receptor
Carla Bazzicalupi,Andrea Bencini,Antonio Bianchi,Vieri Fusi,Piero Paoletti,Barbara Valtancoli +5 more
TL;DR: The macrobicyclic ligand 17oxa-4,7,10,23-tetramethyl-1,4, 7, 10, 13, 23-hexaazabicyclo[11.7.5]pentacosane L reacts with Zn2+ to give the {[Zn2(µ-OH)2]L}2+ complex which selectively recognises substrate molecules in solution as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of an aza-cage, basicity behaviour and crystal structure of its diprotonated species
Andrea Bencini,Antonio Bianchi,Carla Bazzicalupi,Mario Ciampolini,Paolo Dapporto,Vieri Fusi,Mauro Micheloni,Nicoletta Nardi,Paola Paoli,Barbara Valtancoli +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and characterization of the macrobicycle 4,10-dimethyl-1,4,7,10tetraazabicyclo[5.5]-heptadecane (L) is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct preparation of unsymmetrical difunctionalized cyclen derivatives by an Ugi multicomponent reaction.
TL;DR: A new and efficient synthetic protocol for the preparation of unsymmetrical difunctionalized cyclen and its close derivatives using a modified Ugi reaction (N-split Ugi) is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Fluorescent Sensor Array Based on Heteroatomic Macrocyclic Fluorophores for the Detection of Polluting Species in Natural Water Samples.
Larisa Lvova,Fabrizio Caroleo,Alessandra Garau,Vito Lippolis,Luca Giorgi,Vieri Fusi,Nelsi Zaccheroni,Marco Lombardo,Luca Prodi,Corrado Di Natale,Roberto Paolesse +10 more
TL;DR: The suitability of the developed sensors implemented with familiar devices for signal acquisition, and chemometric methods for data treatment to perform fast and low-cost monitoring of species under interest, in real samples of environmental importance, is demonstrated.
