Journal ArticleDOI

Development and validation of a stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for the determination of paracetamol with dantrolene or/and cetirizine and pseudoephedrine in two pharmaceutical dosage forms.

TL;DR: A stability-indicating reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method has been developed which can separate and accurately quantitate paracetamol, dantrolene, cetirizine and pseudoephedrine and was validated and successfully applied for the analysis of pharmaceutical formulations and laboratory-prepared mixtures containing the two multicomponent combinations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidation-coagulation of β-blockers by K2FeVIO4 in hospital wastewater: assessment of degradation products and biodegradability.

TL;DR: The results showed that Fe(VI) plays an important role in the oxidation-coagulation process, and the treatment of the hospital wastewater led to degradations above 90% for all the three β-blockers, and to reductions of aromaticity that were close to 60%.
Journal ArticleDOI

HPLC and chemometrics-assisted UV-spectroscopy methods for the simultaneous determination of ambroxol and doxycycline in capsule.

TL;DR: High-performance liquid chromatography and multivariate spectrophotometric methods are described for the simultaneous determination of ambroxol hydrochloride and doxycycline in combined pharmaceutical capsules and were validated and successfully applied for the analysis of pharmaceutical formulation and laboratory-prepared mixtures containing the two component combination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Application of titanium dioxide nanoparticles as a photocatalyst for the removal of micropollutants such as pharmaceuticals from water

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review recent research on the efficiency of TiO2 photocatalysis for the removal of selected pharmaceuticals and possible formation of transformation products (TPs), and address the need for further research into photocatalytic water treatment technology in the near future.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of phototransformation products of thalidomide and mixture toxicity assessment: An experimental and quantitative structural activity relationships (QSAR) approach

TL;DR: QSAR analysis of PTPs and HTPs provided evidence for mutagenicity, genotoxicity and carcinogenicity using additional endpoints in silico software, and provided a path for toxicological assessment of complex chemical mixtures.
