Journal ArticleDOI
Low CHD5 expression activates the DNA damage response and predicts poor outcome in patients undergoing adjuvant therapy for resected pancreatic cancer
William A. Hall,Aleksandra V. Petrova,Lauren E. Colbert,Claire W. Hardy,Sarah B. Fisher,Burcu Saka,Joseph W. Shelton,Matthew D. Warren,Brooke G. Pantazides,Khanjan Gandhi,Jeanne Kowalski,David A. Kooby,David A. Kooby,Bassel F. El-Rayes,Christopher A. Staley,N. Volkan Adsay,Walter J. Curran,Jerome C. Landry,Shishir K. Maithel,David S. Yu +19 more
TL;DR: The findings support a model in which dysregulated expression of tumor suppressor genes that induce DDR activation can be utilized as biomarkers for poor outcome in patients with resected PAC receiving adjuvant chemotherapy.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Automatic MRI prostate segmentation using 3D deeply supervised FCN with concatenated atrous convolution
Bo Wang,Bo Wang,Yang Lei,Jiwoong Jason Jeong,Tonghe Wang,Yingzi Liu,Sibo Tian,Pretesh Patel,Xiaojun Jiang,Ashesh B. Jani,Hui Mao,Walter J. Curran,Tian Liu,Xiaofeng Yang +13 more
TL;DR: A method to automatically segment MR prostate image based on 3D deeply supervised FCN with concatenated atrous convolution (3D DSA-FCN) to yield satisfied MR prostate segmentation, which can be used for image-guided radiotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Addressing the current challenges of non-small-cell lung cancer clinical trial accrual
TL;DR: Efforts by multidisciplinary teams comprising clinical and laboratory researchers, patient advocates, governmental agencies, and private industries are needed to improve NSCLC trial activation and accrual, with a focus on commitment to ongoing communication among all constituents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiple fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy of residual pituitary macroadenomas: initial experience.
Courtney Coke,David W. Andrews,Benjamin W. Corn,Maria Werner-Wasik,Beverly Downes,Carey E. McCune,Walter J. Curran +6 more
TL;DR: Preliminary results suggest that SRT compares favorably with conventional radiotherapy in achieving local control and the doses to the brainstem and the temporal lobes are significantly decreased and at early follow-up no white matter changes are seen on MRI after SRT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasound Elastography for Lung Disease Assessment
TL;DR: This article provides a comprehensive review of the technological advances of US-E research on lung disease diagnosis and introduces the basic principles and major techniques and provides information on various applications in lung disease assessment.
