A facile solvothermal method for high-quality Gd2Zr2O7 nanopowder preparation

TL;DR: In this article, a facile solvothermal method was developed to synthesize Gd 2 Zr 2 O 7 nanopowders with well-controlled particle size and dispersion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uranium-Incorporated Pyrochlore La2(UxMgxZr1-2x)2O7 Nuclear Waste Form: Structure and Phase Stability.

TL;DR: This work demonstrated the successful development of U-incorporated La2Zr2O7 nanoparticles and provided an efficient way to immobilize U in these ceramic waste matrixes.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of precipitants on co-precipitation synthesis of yttria-stabilized zirconia nanocrystalline powders

TL;DR: In this article, different precipitants (ammonium hydroxide, ammonium bicarbonate, oxalic acid, and urea) were used to study the effects of precipitators on co-precipitation synthesis of YSZ nanocrystalline powders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of ball-to-powder weight ratio toward to highly transparent LaGdZr2O7 ceramics processing by solid reactive sintering

TL;DR: In this paper, high transparent LaGdZr2O7 ceramics were fabricated by solid reactive sintering using the ball-milling mixed raw powder, and the transparency of samples can be significantly enhanced by optimizing the ballto-powder weight ratio.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave-assisted synthesis of uranium doped Y2Zr2O7 transparent ceramics as potential near-infrared optical lens

TL;DR: In this paper, a microwave annealing process was used for the first time to produce highly transparent U:Y2Zr2O7 ceramics, which exhibited better particle distribution, grain fusion was inhibited at the same time.
