Transient Responses in a Functionally Graded Cylindrical Shell to a Point Load

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical method is proposed for analyzing transient waves in cylindrical shells of a functionally graded material (FGM) excited by impact point loads, where the FGM shell is divided into layer elements with three nodal lines along the wall thickness.
Journal ArticleDOI

On Determination of the Material Constants of Laminated Cylindrical Shells Based on an Inverse Optimal Approach

TL;DR: In this paper, a technique is proposed to inversely determine the material constants of laminated cylindrical shells from transient dynamic displacement responses obtained at only one receiving point on the outer surface of shells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of Spring-Force Factors of Suspension Systems Using Progressive Neural Network on a Validated Computer Model

TL;DR: A novel progressive Neural Network (NN) technique is suggested to determine the suspension factors based on the dynamic response (displacement) of the road-wheels and it is found that the present technique is very robust for the determined suspension factors of the tracked vehicle.
