Different EDC/NHS activation mechanisms between PAA and PMAA brushes and the following amidation reactions.

TL;DR: Infrared spectroscopy was applied to investigate the well-known EDC/NHS activation details of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and poly(methacrylic Acid) (PMAA) brushes grafted on porous silicon and revealed that the infrared spectral details revealed the opposite of the expected NHS-ester was generated under the optimum reaction conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Saccharide- and temperature-responsive polymer brushes grown on gold nanoshells for controlled release of diols

TL;DR: In this article, a general approach to endow gold nanoshells a new function of controlled release was established by coating stimulus-responsive polymers on their surfaces via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient immobilization of catalase on mesoporous MIL-101 (Cr) and its catalytic activity assay.

TL;DR: In this article , mesoporous MIL-101 (Cr), synthesized through a facile hydrothermal process, was applied for CAT immobilization for the first time, and the authors demonstrated the application of MOFs as functional supports for the efficient immobilization of versatile enzymes.
