Mapping global forest canopy height through integration of GEDI and Landsat data
Peter Potapov,Xinyuan Li,Andres Hernandez-Serna,Alexandra Tyukavina,Matthew C. Hansen,Anil Kommareddy,A. H. Pickens,Svetlana Turubanova,Hao Tang,C. E. Silva,John Armston,Ralph Dubayah,J. Bryan Blair,Michelle Hofton +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) lidar instrument onboard the International Space Station has been collecting unique data on vegetation structure since April 2019, and the authors employed global Landsat analysis-ready data to extrapolate GEDI footprint-level forest canopy height measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Global 2000-2020 Land Cover and Land Use Change Dataset Derived From the Landsat Archive: First Results
Peter Potapov,Matthew C. Hansen,A. H. Pickens,Andres Hernandez-Serna,Alexandra Tyukavina,Svetlana Turubanova,V. Zalles,Xinyuan Li,Ahmad Khan,Fred Stolle,Nancy L. Harris,Xiao-Peng Song,Antoine Baggett,Indrani Kommareddy,Anil Kommareddy +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the first results from a project aimed at annual multidecadal land monitoring providing critical information for tracking global progress towards sustainable development are presented, where the global 30m spatial resolution dataset quantifies changes in forest extent and height, cropland, built-up lands, surface water, and perennial snow and ice extent.
Mapping and monitoring global forest canopy height through integration of GEDI and Landsat data

Journal ArticleDOI
Power Transformations and Feature Alignment Guided Network for SAR Ship Detection
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed an anchor-free method, namely power transformations and feature alignment guided network (Pow-FAN), to solve the interference of speckle noise and shores poses enormous challenges to the accuracy of detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Link Ecological and Social Composite Systems to Construct Sustainable Landscape Patterns: A New Framework Based on Ecosystem Service Flows
Shixiu Cui,Zenglin Han,Xiaolu Yan,Xiuzhen Li,Wenzhen Zhao,Chenghao Liu,Xinyuan Li,Jingqiu Zhong +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a sustainable development framework consisting of coupled microscopic natural-social systems was developed for coastal ecosystems with extremely fragile ecological backgrounds and contradictory human-land relationships was tested using data from the Liao River Delta.
