Journal ArticleDOI
Trichloromethane fraction of Incarvillea compacta induces lytic cytotoxicity and apoptosis in Epstein-Barr virus-positive gastric cancer AGS cells
TL;DR: R2 could significantly reduce cell viability in a dose-dependent manner in EBV positive AGS cells compared with non-EBV infected AGS and other cancer cell lines, whereas n-BuOH and H2O fractions showed non-inhibitory effects in tested cancer cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Semisynthesis and Biological Evaluation of Oleanolic Acid 3-O-β-d-Glucuronopyranoside Derivatives for Protecting H9c2 Cardiomyoblasts against H₂O₂-Induced Injury.
Yu Tian,Zhong-Hao Sun,Wen-Qian Wang,Hai Shang,Bao-Qi Wang,Di Deng,Guo-Xu Ma,Haifeng Wu,Zhu Nailiang,Xudong Xu,Guibo Sun,Xiaobo Sun +11 more
TL;DR: Biological evaluation has indicated that some of the synthesized compounds exhibit moderate to good activity against H2O2-induced injury in rat myocardial cells (H9c2), indicating that it possesses a great potential for further development as a cardiovascular disease modulator by structural modification.
Journal ArticleDOI
A new sesquiterpenoid quinone with cytotoxicity from Abelmoschus sagittifolius.
TL;DR: Compound 1 showed significant cytotoxicity against Hela and HepG-2 human cancer cell lines and was elucidated by analysing its 1H and 13C NMR, 1H–1H COSY, HSQC, HMBC, NOESY and HR-ESI-MS values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soulieoside R : A New Cycloartane Triterpenoid Glycoside from Souliea vaginata

Journal ArticleDOI
A Review on Phytochemicals of the Genus Maytenus and Their Bioactive Studies.
Yuan-Yuan Huang,Lu Chen,Guo-Xu Ma,Xudong Xu,Xue-Gong Jia,Fu-Sheng Deng,Xue-Jian Li,Jing-Quan Yuan +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the current status of the past 45 years of research on Maytenus, with respect to its chemical and biological activities are discussed, including its structural classification into triterpenoids, sesquiterpenes and alkaloids.
