Unusual magnetic order in the pseudogap region of the superconductor HgBa2CuO4+δ
Yun Li,V. Balédent,Neven Barišić,Neven Barišić,Yangrae Cho,Yangrae Cho,Benoît Fauqué,Yvan Sidis,Guihua Yu,Xudong Zhao,Xudong Zhao,P. Bourges,Martin Greven +12 more
TL;DR: P polarized neutron diffraction is used to demonstrate for the model superconductor HgBa2CuO4+δ (Hg1201) that the characteristic temperature T* marks the onset of an unusual magnetic order, a demonstration of the universal existence of such a state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Connection between charge-density-wave order and charge transport in the cuprate superconductors
Wojciech Tabis,Y. Li,M. Le Tacon,Lucio Braicovich,A. Kreyssig,Matteo Minola,G. Dellea,Eugen Weschke,M. J. Veit,Mehmet Ramazanoglu,Alan I. Goldman,Thorsten Schmitt,Giacomo Claudio Ghiringhelli,Neven Barišić,Mun Chan,Chelsey Dorow,G. Yu,Xudong Zhao,Bernhard Keimer,Martin Greven +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that charge-density-wave correlations within the quintessential CuO$_2$ planes have been argued to either cause or compete with superconductivity in the cuprates, and they might furthermore drive the Fermi-surface reconstruction in high magnetic fields implied by quantum oscillation (QO) experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hidden magnetic excitation in the pseudogap phase of a high- T c superconductor
Yuan Li,Yuan Li,V. Balédent,Guichuan Yu,N. Barišić,N. Barišić,N. Barišić,K. Hradil,Richard A. Mole,Yvan Sidis,Paul Steffens,Xudong Zhao,Xudong Zhao,P. Bourges,Martin Greven +14 more
TL;DR: Inelastic neutron scattering results for HgBa2CuO4+δ reveal a fundamental collective magnetic mode associated with the unusual order and are consistent with a particular type of order involving circulating orbital currents, and with the notion that the phase diagram is controlled by a quantum critical point.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal Growth and Characterization of the Model High‐Temperature Superconductor HgBa2CuO4+δ
Xudong Zhao,Xudong Zhao,Guichuan Yu,Yong Chan Cho,Guillaume Chabot-Couture,Neven Barišić,Philippe Bourges,Nobu-Hisa Kaneko,Yuan Li,L. Lu,Eugene Motoyama,Owen Vajk,Martin Greven +12 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Demonstrating the model nature of the high-temperature superconductor HgBa 2 CuO 4 + δ
Neven Barišić,Yuan Li,Xudong Zhao,Xudong Zhao,Yong Chan Cho,Guillaume Chabot-Couture,Guichuan Yu,Martin Greven +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that it is possible to identify suitable heat treatment conditions to systematically tune the hole concentration of Hg1201 crystals over a wide range, from very underdoped to overdoped.
