High Verdet constants and diamagnetic responses of GeS2-In2S3-PbI2 chalcogenide glasses for integrated optics applications.
Yantao Xu,Haitao Guo,Xusheng Xiao,Pengfei Wang,Xiaoxia Cui,Min Lu,Changgui Lin,Shixun Dai,Bo Peng +8 more
TL;DR: A novel pseudo-ternary chalcogenide glass system was prepared and investigated and the 60GeS2·15In2S3·25PbI2 glass was found to possess the largest Verdet constant, which is great larger than that of commercial diamagnetic glasses, therefore be a good candidate for next-generation integrated optical isolator and other magneto-optical devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical Modeling of 4.3 μm Mid-Infrared Lasing in Dy3+-Doped Chalcogenide Fiber Lasers
TL;DR: In this article, the authors theoretically investigate Dy3+-doped chalcogenide fiber laser operating at 4.3 μ m based on the rate equations and propagation equations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Yeming Zhang,Guoquan Qian,Xusheng Xiao,Xiangling Tian,Zhi Chen,Jiuping Zhong,Zhijun Ma,Haitao Guo,Shanhui Xu,Zhongming Yang,Jianrong Qiu,Jianrong Qiu +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a graded-index fiber with yttrium aluminosilicate (YAS) glass core was fabricated by a "Melt-in-Tube" method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mid-infrared emissions of Dy3+ doped Ga-As-S chalcogenide glasses and fibers and their potential for a 42 μm fiber laser
Jian Cui,Xusheng Xiao,Yantao Xu,Xiaoxia Cui,Meiling Chen,Junjiang Guo,Min Lu,Bo Peng,Haitao Guo +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, an ideal efficient and low-threshold medium for fiber lasers operated at 4 μm wavebands, 0.8As39.2S60 chalcogenide glasses were investigated and a 4.2 μm fiber laser was theoretically studied based on the rate and propagation equations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glass-ceramic optical fiber containing Ba2TiSi2O8 nanocrystals for frequency conversion of lasers.
Zaijin Fang,Xusheng Xiao,Xin Wang,Zhijun Ma,Elfed Lewis,Gerald Farrell,Pengfei Wang,Pengfei Wang,Jing Ren,Haitao Guo,Haitao Guo,Jianrong Qiu,Jianrong Qiu +12 more
TL;DR: A glass-ceramic optical fiber containing Ba2TiSi2O8 nanocrystals fabricated using a novel combination of the melt-in-tube method and successive heat treatment is reported for the first time, which provides a highly promising development for frequency conversion of lasers in all optical fiber based networks.
