Journal ArticleDOI
Ten years of GOME/ERS-2 total ozone data—The new GOME data processor (GDP) version 4: 1. Algorithm description
M. Van Roozendael,Diego Loyola,Robert Spurr,Dimitris Balis,Jean-Christopher Lambert,Y. Livschitz,Pieter Valks,Thomas Ruppert,P. Kenter,Caroline Fayt,Claus Zehner +10 more
TL;DR: The Global Ozone Monitoring Instrument (GOME) was launched on European Space Agency's ERS-2 platform in April 1995 as mentioned in this paper, and the 10-year GOME level 1 data record was reprocessed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ten years of GOME/ERS2 total ozone data—The new GOME data processor (GDP) version 4: 2. Ground-based validation and comparisons with TOMS V7/V8
Dimitris Balis,Jean-Christopher Lambert,M. Van Roozendael,Robert Spurr,Diego Loyola,Y. Livschitz,Pieter Valks,Vassilis Amiridis,P. Gerard,José Granville,Claus Zehner +10 more
TL;DR: Van Roozendael et al. as mentioned in this paper presented results of a validation exercise involving comparisons of GDP 4.0 with the Network for Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO)/Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) ground-based networks.
GOME-2 Mission And Product Validation Status
R. Munro,R. Lang,Y. Livschitz,Y. Kujanpää,Diego Loyola,Pieter Valks,Piet Stammes,O. N. E. Tuinder +7 more
TL;DR: The Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment 2 (GOME-2) as mentioned in this paper is a European contribution to operational monitoring of ozone and other trace gases, which was launched on the first of the Metop series of polar-orbiting operational meteorological satellites on 19th October 2006.
10-Years operational GOME/ERS-2 Total column products: The GDP 4.0 Validation
Dimitrios Balis,Robert Spurr,Y. Livschitz,José Granville,V. Amiridis,P. Gerard,Jean-Christopher Lambert,Claus Zehner,Diego Loyola,M. Van Roozendael,Pieter Valks +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented results of a geophysical validation exercise regarding the new operational GOME data processor (GDP 4.0) and showed that the re-processed GOME total ozone record is now sufficiently accurate for trend analysis (detection of 1% change in total ozone over 10 years).
Comparison of operational cloud properties derived from gome/ers-2 and msg/seviri data
Diego Loyola,Werner Thomas,P. Albert,Bernd Aberle,Y. Livschitz,Thomas Ruppert,Walter Zimmer,R. Hollmann +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a data fusion technique is applied to calculate the fractional cloud cover of Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment (GOME) footprints from GOME's Polarization Measurement Devices (PMDs).
