Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrastable Metallic Glass

TL;DR: A new metallic glass created by vapour deposition at an appropriately high substrate temperature shows exceptional thermal stability, and enhanced glass transition temperature and elastic modulus, which demonstrates the formation of ultrastable glassy materials correlates to the important concept of fragility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Light-Controlled Interconversion between a Self-Assembled Triangle and a Rhombicuboctahedral Sphere

TL;DR: This work reports on the light-driven structural rearrangement of a small, self-assembled Pd3L6 ring based on photochromic dithienylethene ligands into a rhombicuboctahedral Pd24L48 sphere measuring about 6.4 nm across.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intrinsic inhomogeneities in manganite thin films investigated with scanning tunneling spectroscopy.

TL;DR: Thin films of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 on MgO show a metal insulator transition and colossal magnetoresistance that can be explained by intrinsic spatial inhomogeneities and undergo a percolation transition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-Aging in Ultrastable Metallic Glasses.

TL;DR: A clear signature of ultrastability at the atomic level is found that results in slower relaxation dynamics of UMGs with respect to conventional (rapidly quenched) metallic glasses, and in a peculiar acceleration of the dynamics by near T_{g} annealing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lichtgesteuerte Umwandlung zwischen einem selbstassemblierten Dreieck und einer rhombenkuboktaedrischen Sphäre

TL;DR: In this article, the mateix article esta publicat en angles a l'edicio anglesa d' 'Angewandte Chemie International Edition' (ISSN 1433-7851, EISSN 1521-3773), 2016, vol. 55, num. 1, p.455-449.
