Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical Composition and Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitory Activity of Essential Oils from Piper Species

TL;DR: The essential oils (EOs) derived from aromatic plants such as Piper species are considered to play a role in alleviating neuronal ailments that are associated with inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and sesquiterpenes and phenylpropanoids were found to be rich in these EOs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lignans and aromatic glycosides from Piper wallichii and their antithrombotic activities

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that lignans, phenylpropanoid and biphenyl found in Piper wallichii may be responsible for antithrombotic effect of the titled plant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical constituents from Piper wallichii

TL;DR: Fifteen known compounds including four triterpenoids, one sterol, one diketopiperazine alkaloid and nine phenolics were isolated from the stems of Piper wallichii and the structure of compound 1 was fully assigned by 1D and 2D NMR experiments for the first time.
