Carbon-based quantum dots (QDs) modified ms/tz-BiVO4 heterojunction with enhanced photocatalytic performance for water purification

TL;DR: In this article, two carbon-based quantum dots, carbon nitride quantum dots (CNQDs) and nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot (NCQDs), were modified with BiVO4 heterojunctions to improve photocatalytic performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Onion-ring-like g-C3N4 modified with Bi3TaO7 quantum dots: A novel 0D/3D S-scheme heterojunction for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production under visible light irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, a zero-dimensional (0D) Bi3TaOO7 (BTO) quantum dots/three-dimensional onion-ring-like g-C3N4 (OR-CN) S-scheme heterojunction catalyst is constructed to simulate the production of hydrogen by photocatalysis under sunlight irradiation through a solvothermal method for photocatalytic hydrogen production under visible light irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabricating nitrogen-doped carbon dots (NCDs) on Bi3.64Mo0.36O6.55 nanospheres: A nanoheterostructure for enhanced photocatalytic performance for water purification

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors fabricated Bi3.64Mo0.36O6.55 nanospheres by using a simple hydrothermal process and then anchored nitrogen-doped carbon dots (NCDs) on them through a facile deposition-precipitation process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assembling g-C3N4 nanosheets on rod-like CoFe2O4 nanocrystals to boost photocatalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin with peroxymonosulfate activation

TL;DR: In this article, a CoFe2O4/g-C3N4 heterojunction with nanosheets-on microrods structure was designed and prepared by a simple solvothermal-calcination synthetic method, which was applied for the degradation of cyprofloxacin (CIP) through the combination of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and photocatalysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual enhancement of photooxidation and photoreduction activity by coating CdS nanoparticles on lignin-based biomass carbon with irregular flower-like structure

TL;DR: In this article, a lignin-based biomass carbon was first used as a carbon source and compounded with CdS nanoparticles to prepare a composite composite, which was then used to solve the high agglomeration of nanoparticles and achieve high photocatalytic activity and high stability.
