Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of chromium on chitosan: Optimization, kinetics and thermodynamics
TL;DR: In this paper, surface response methodology was involved in the optimization of Cr(VI) adsorption upon chitosan flakes against the process parameters pH, adsorbent dose and initial Cr (VI) concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and characterization of an efficient bacterial cellulose producer strain in agitated culture: Gluconacetobacter hansenii P2A
TL;DR: In this study, typical niches of acetic acid bacteria were screened for isolation of cellulose producer strains and most productive and mutation-resistant strain was subjected to 16S rRNA sequence analysis and identified as Gluconacetobacter hansenii P2A due to 99.8 % sequence similarity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enzymatic processes in alternative reaction media: a mini review
TL;DR: In this article, a review of various green solvents were classified and some of their influential features on enzyme activity were discussed, including solvent properties and selectivity of an enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of chromate from wastewater using amine-based-surfactant-modified clinoptilolite
TL;DR: In this article, the results of chromate adsorption upon organically modified clinoptilolite obtained by the treatment of Bigadic clinoptile with surfactants in primary amine structure, namely 1-dodecylamine, 1-hexadecylamine and oleylamine were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chitosan polyvinyl alcohol blend films for ibuprofen encapsulation: Fabrication, characterization and kinetics
TL;DR: In this paper, the effectiveness of ibuprofen release from chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol blend films prepared by solvent casting method was studied as a function of blend composition and cross-linking density.
