Journal ArticleDOI

New pyrazole derivatives: Synthesis, anti-inflammatory activity, cycloxygenase inhibition assay and evaluation of mPGES

TL;DR: New pyrazole derivatives 2-5 showed good inhibitory activity at a nanomolar level and most compounds exhibited selectivity towards COX-2 inhibition, while all the tested compounds exhibited potent inhibitory effect on the production of PGE2, in addition to their inhibition of COx-2 enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: Synthesis, molecular docking, cytotoxic and inhibition of the human carbonic anhydrase isoforms I, II, IX, XII with novel benzenesulfonamides incorporating pyrrole, pyrrolopyrimidine and fused pyrrolopyrimidine moieties

TL;DR: Among the tested derivatives, compounds 16, 18 and 20-24 showed potent activity as inhibitors for the tumor associated transmembrane isoforms (hCA IX and XII) in the nanomolar and subnanomolar range, with high selectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimicrobial and anticancer activity of some novel fluorinated thiourea derivatives carrying sulfonamide moieties: synthesis, biological evaluation and molecular docking

TL;DR: Novel compounds were obtained with good anticancer and antibacterial activity especially fluorinated pyridine derivative 4a and molecular docking study suggest good activity as mitogen activated protein kinase-2 inhibitor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and biological evaluation of new pyrazolone-pyridazine conjugates as anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents.

TL;DR: A new series of pyrazolone-pyridazine conjugates 3 and 4a-l were synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic means and elemental analyses and showed good analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities with lower ulcer index than the reference drug.
