Rhizoma Coptidis and Berberine as a Natural Drug to Combat Aging and Aging-Related Diseases via Anti-Oxidation and AMPK Activation.
Zhifang Xu,Wei Feng,Qian Shen,Nannan Yu,Kun Yu,Shenjun Wang,Zhigang Chen,Seiji Shioda,Yi Guo +8 more
TL;DR: Evidence supports the possibility that rhizoma coptidis, in particular berberine, is a promising anti-aging natural product, and has pharmaceutical potential in combating aging-related diseases via anti-oxidation and AMPK cellular kinase activation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simple one-pot preparation of chitosan-reduced graphene oxide-Au nanoparticles hybrids for glucose sensing
TL;DR: In this paper, a facile and effective approach to prepare glucose biosensor was developed based on chitosan-reduced graphene oxide-Au nanoparticles (CS-RGO)-AuNPs) hybrids modified Pt electrode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-tumor effects and mechanisms of Astragalus membranaceus (AM) and its specific immunopotentiation: Status and prospect
Shanshan Li,Yi Sun,Jin Huang,Bin Wang,Yinan Gong,Yuxin Fang,Yangyang Liu,Shenjun Wang,Yi Guo,Hong Wang,Zhifang Xu,Yongming Guo +11 more
TL;DR: An understanding of AM as an adjunctive therapy in the whole course of cancer treatment is contributed to, at the same time providing useful information for development of more effective anti-tumor medication.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acupuncture Alleviates Rheumatoid Arthritis by Immune-Network Modulation.
Yuan Xu,Shouhai Hong,Xue Zhao,Shenjun Wang,Zhifang Xu,Sha-sha Ding,Kuo Zhang,Yiping Zhang,Lianjie Xu,Nannan Yu,Tian-yi Zhao,Ya-Wen Yan,Fu-Ming Yang,Yangyang Liu,Kun Yu,Bao-Hu Liu,Yi Guo,Guangchang Pang +17 more
TL;DR: Manual acupuncture could alleviate the inflammation and pain of infected joints and enhance the immune networks in the early stage to act on RA and promoted the immune-network to a normal level at the late stage, and monocyte/macrophage and endothelial cells were the key cells of innate immunity and body cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of acupuncture on fibromyalgia syndrome: a meta-analysis.
TL;DR: Compared with sham acupuncture, there was not enough evidence to prove the efficacy of acupuncture therapy for the treatment of fibromyalgia, and there is a need for higher quality randomized controlled trials to further confirm this.
