Journal ArticleDOI

Microplastics in Taihu Lake, China

TL;DR: The results strongly suggest that high levels of microplastics occurred not only in water but also in organisms in Taihu Lake, the third largest Chinese lake located in one of the most developed areas of China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uptake, accumulation and elimination of polystyrene microspheres in tadpoles of Xenopus tropicalis.

TL;DR: The results suggested that microspheres were likely to be ingested and egested relatively fast by tadpoles and indicated that aquatic vertebrate organisms might ingest more microplastics if the abundance of microplastic continues to increase while the available food becomes less.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of clotrimazole and amiodarone on early development of amphibian ( Xenopus tropicalis )

TL;DR: The results of this study suggest that clotrimazole exerted adverse effects on larvae of X. tropicalis at environmentally relevant concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

An assay to determine the sensitive window of embryos to chemical exposure using Xenopus tropicalis

TL;DR: The frog embryo teratogenesis assay‐Xenopus (FETAX) is an established method to evaluate the developmental toxicity of chemicals and the most sensitive 12 h exposure periods of embryos were significantly distinguished for all the compounds with the exception of NiCl2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Occurrence, seasonal variations, and eco-risk of currently using organochlorine pesticides in surface seawater of the East China Sea and Western Pacific Ocean.

TL;DR: In this article , 19 targets currently using organochlorine pesticides (CUOCPs) from 98 samples in the Western Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea collected in 2019, 2020, and 2021 were analyzed using a novel Highthroat/High-volume Solid-Phase Extraction method.
