Designed oxygen carriers from macroporous LaFeO3 supported CeO2 for chemical-looping reforming of methane

TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D ordered macroporous (3DOM) LaFeO3 was used for chemical-looping reforming of methane (CLRM) for coproducing syngas and pure hydrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ce–Fe oxygen carriers for chemical-looping steam methane reforming

TL;DR: In this article, the results of the strong Ce-Fe interaction in mixed oxides were analyzed for the chemical-looping steam methane reforming (CL-SMR) process and it was found that Ce 0.5 Fe 0.2 O 2 −Fe 2 O 3 particles were well dispersed on ceria surface and a small amount of iron ions were incorporated into the CeO 2 lattice to form a Ce−Fe O solid solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syngas production from methane and air via a redox process using Ce-Fe mixed oxides as oxygen carriers

TL;DR: In this article, the selective oxidation of methane to syngas using a gas-solid reaction was investigated at 850°C, where only small amounts of iron ions could be incorporated into the CeO2 lattice with the superfluous Fe2O3 remaining on the surface of the molecule.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical-Looping Steam Methane Reforming over a CeO2–Fe2O3 Oxygen Carrier: Evolution of Its Structure and Reducibility

TL;DR: In this paper, the evolution of the structure and reducibility of a CeO2-Fe2O3 oxygen carrier during the chemical-looping steam methane reforming (CL-SMR) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct conversion of methane to synthesis gas using lattice oxygen of CeO2–Fe2O3 complex oxides

TL;DR: In this paper, three kinds of complex oxides oxygen carriers (CeO2-Fe2O3, CeO2−ZrO2 and ZrO 2-TPR and Raman) were prepared and tested for the gas-solid reaction with methane in the absence of gaseous oxidant.
