Journal Article

Tumor-specificity and apoptosis-inducing activity of stilbenes and flavonoids.

TL;DR: Among the seven cell lines, HSC-2 and HL-60 cells were the most sensitive to the cytotoxic action of these compounds, and an undetectable expression of Bcl-2 protein in control and drug-treated H SC-2 cells may explain the relatively higher sensitivity of this cell line to stilbenes and flavonoids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biological activity of persimmon (Diospyros kaki) peel extracts

TL;DR: The therapeutic value of persimmon peel extracts as potential antitumor and MDR‐reversing agents is indicated and the cytotoxic activity was not correlated with the radical intensity of the fractions.
Journal ArticleDOI

New resveratrol oligomers in the stem bark of Vatica pauciflora

TL;DR: In this article, five new resveratrol oligomers; pauciflorols A, C, B, isovaticanols B and C (8), and three new oligostilbene glucosides; paupliflorosides A (11), B (13), C (14), and C(15), were isolated from the stem bark of Vatica paucifera (Dipterocarpaceae) together with known 17 resveraratrol oligomer (4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 and
