Visible‐Light‐Induced Photoredox Catalysis with a Tetracerium‐Containing Silicotungstate

TL;DR: With CePOM, the photocatalytic oxidative dehydrogenation of primary and secondary amines as well as the α-cyanation of tertiary amines smoothly proceeded in the presence of O2 (1 atm) as the sole oxidant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and catalysis of di- and tetranuclear metal sandwich-type silicotungstates [(gamma-SiW10O36)2M2(mu-OH)2]10- and [(gamma-SiW10O36)2M4(mu4-O)(mu-OH)6]8- (M = Zr or Hf).

TL;DR: The di- and tetranuclear metal sandwich-type silicotungstates of Cs10 and Cs8 showed catalytic activity for the intramolecular cyclization of metal-oxygen clusters such as [M2(mu-OH)2](6+) and [M4(mu4-O)6](8+) and the dinuclear zirconium and hafnium complexes Zr2 and Hf2 were isostructural.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diamond-Shaped [Ag4]4+ Cluster Encapsulated by Silicotungstate Ligands: Synthesis and Catalysis of Hydrolytic Oxidation of Silanes†

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of AGC is developed and the material is successfully tested as heterogeneous catalyst for the title reaction, and it is shown that AGC can be used as an AGC catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cyanosilylation of Carbonyl Compounds with Trimethylsilyl Cyanide Catalyzed by an Yttrium‐Pillared Silicotungstate Dimer

TL;DR: It is expected that POMs with large negative charges can nucleophilically activate TMSCN, thus resulting in promotion of cyanosilylations, as observed for Lewis base catalyzed cyanOSilylations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zinc(II) Containing γ‐Keggin Sandwich‐Type Silicotungstate: Synthesis in Organic Media and Oxidation Catalysis

TL;DR: It is reported that the tetra-n-butylammonium (TBA) salt of SiW10 can act as an efficient homogeneous catalyst for various kinds of H2O2-based oxidations, such as the epoxidation of alkenes, b] oxygenation of sulfides, and hydroxylation of organosilanes.
