Journal ArticleDOI

High glucose induces Drp1-mediated mitochondrial fission via the Orai1 calcium channel to participate in diabetic cardiomyocyte hypertrophy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the mechanism of dynamic relative protein 1 and Orai1 in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy caused by high glucose (HG) and found that Zucker diabetic fat rats induced by administration of a high-fat diet develop cardiac hyper-trophy and impaired cardiac function, accompanied by the activation of mitochondrial dynamics and calcium handling pathway related proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

CDK6 mediates the effect of attenuation of miR-1 on provoking cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.

TL;DR: Results reveal that derepression of CDK6 and activation of Rb pathway contributes to the effect of attenuation of miR-1 on provoking cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Targeting myocyte-specific enhancer factor 2D contributes to the suppression of cardiac hypertrophic growth by miR-92b-3p in mice.

TL;DR: Myocyte-specific enhancer factor 2D (MEF2D), which was increased in Ang-II-induced mouse hypertrophic myocardium and cardiomyocytes, was identified as a target gene of miR-92b-3p and mimic, consistent with MEF2d siRNA, inhibited cell size increase and protein expression of ANP, ACTA1 and β-MHC in Ang
