Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanisms of macular edema: Beyond the surface.

TL;DR: This comprehensive review on the current understanding of macular edema and its mechanisms opens perspectives to identify new preventive and therapeutic strategies for this sight-threatening condition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intraocular injection of tamoxifen-loaded nanoparticles: a new treatment of experimental autoimmune uveoretinitis

TL;DR: Intravitreal injection of NP‐PEG‐TAM decreased S‐Ag lymphocyte proliferation, IFN‐γ production by inguinal lymph node cells, and specific delayed‐type hypersensitivity indicative of a reduced Th1‐type response and increased the anti‐S‐Ag IgG1 isotype indicating an antibody class switch to Th2 response.
Journal ArticleDOI

Induction and Regulation of Nitric Oxide Synthase in Retinal Müller Glial Cells

TL;DR: It is concluded that RMG cells can express an inducible form of NOS similar to the macrophage isoform, which might represent a protection from infection but may also contribute to the development of retinal pathologies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Iontophoresis of dexamethasone in the treatment of endotoxin-induced uveitis in rats

TL;DR: CCI administration of Dex allows for a therapeutic effect on the posterior as well as the anterior segment of the eye, and may present a viable alternative to systemic administration of glucocorticoids in severe ocular inflammations.
