Journal ArticleDOI
Band alignment and enhanced photocatalytic activation for α-Bi2O3/BiOCl (0 0 1) core–shell heterojunction
TL;DR: In this article, the α-Bi2O3/BiOCl core-shell heterojunction band offsets were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Band alignment and enhanced photocatalytic activation of α/β-Bi2O3 heterojunctions via in situ phase transformation.
TL;DR: Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy revealed excellent charge transfer characteristics of the heterojunction, which accounts for its high photoactivity, and the X-ray electron valence band spectra found that the valenceBand of α-Bi2O3 is more negative than that of β-Bi 2O3.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly efficient photocatalytic activities, band alignment of BiVO4/BiOCl {001} prepared by in situ chemical transformation
TL;DR: In this article, the exact band alignment of coupled semiconductors was investigated using X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy (XPS) and the results showed that the valence band difference is 0.58 eV which is a driving force valence of band holes from BiVO4 to BiOCl by the van der Aalst offset, while the reductive electrons were driven by conduction band difference along the opposite direction compared to the oxidative holes.
Journal ArticleDOI
An α-Bi2O3/BiOBr core-shell heterojunction with high photocatalytic activity.
TL;DR: The results revealed that the prepared α-Bi2O3/BiOBr photocatalysts were porous, and their specific surface areas were found to be raised on comparing with α- bi 2O3 and BiOBr.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced photocatalytic properties of molybdenum-doped BiVO4 prepared by sol–gel method
TL;DR: In this article, the phase structure of Mo-BiVO4 photocatalyst is monoclinic scheelite and the photocatalytic activities of the obtained BiVO4 samples were investigated by means of the decolorization efficiency of methyl orange (MO).
