Evaluating the quality of medical care.

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is acknowledged as an important driver of change, empowering learners to take the decisions and actions needed to build a just and economically viable society respectful of both the environment and cultural diversity. This type of education addresses learning content and outcomes, innovative pedagogy and 'learning by doing', and uses a whole-school approach to engage communities in achieving sustainable change. This publication explores key issues related to ESD policy and practice with the aim of helping to accelerate the reorientation of education towards achieving a sustainable and resilient world. Topics include key ESD competencies and themes, policy, changes in the learning environment, teacher training, youth as lead actors, scaling-up action, and the monitoring of progress towards Target 4.7 of Sustainable Development Goal 4. ESD is explicitly mentioned in this target, which aims to ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development and is understood as an important means to achieve all the other 16 SDGs.

Resumo: O ciclo da vida e constituido pelo nascimento, crescimento, reproducao e morte. Esses eventos sao naturais e proprios para a construcao da vida humana. Para algumas pessoas esses processos evolutivos nao seguem iguais para todos, existe uma especificidade de se colocar diante dos problemas e saber enfrenta-los e a questao primordial. A morte e vista sob diversos contextos cultural, social, familiar e vem para cada um de acordo com sua posicao frente ao mundo; o lidar pode estar definido ou causar outros comportamentos adversos. Lidar com a morte e um fenomeno sofrivel e algumas pessoas nao estao preparadas para esse enfrentamento em questoes nao definidas.Palavras-Chave: Morte, Doenca, Enfrentamento, Sofrimento Psiquico.

In the 1940s, Carl Rogers introduced the notion of a client-centred or person-centred approach, originally called the ‘non-directive approach’. Over the past several decades, however, we have lost sight of the true intent behind Roger's relational approach, settling instead on well-intended but often paternalistic approaches that place patients or clients at the centre of care, but rarely, if ever, actively involve them in decision-making. This is no more apparent than in the case of persons living with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias who, due to the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding dementia, are often assumed to lack the capacity to be involved in their own care and the care of others. Objective : To review on the book " Education As a practice of freedom " Method : A critical analysis . Results: the book shows the view of the method of teaching adult literacy . Why not just be a spectator , the ideas it presented demonstrate trademarks of experience in Brazil in the 1960s . Conclusion : As a classic reading of this work and of paramount importance to the conceptual understanding of continuing health education , because it encourages us to reflect on our educational processes in vocational training and health education through learning seeking significant change for people people who change the world .

Resumen It’s about a qualitative study, a single case study type, where was adopted a triangulation of techniques in order to obtain data collection (structured questionnaire, systematic observation and documental analysis) and content analysis according to Bardin for analysis. The objective was to determine whether the nurses of the infectious diseases of a university hospital consider the Systematization of nursing assistance (SNA) as a tool for care management and examine whether the SNA as a management instrument, provides the basis for their actions of caring. It was identified that the subjects understand what the SNA is and what the care management means, and that they see a relationship between both of them. It was detected that there is a gap between what is said and what is really practiced. It’s not possible to consider that the SNA, as a management tool, provides the basis for caring. Strategies that allow the management of nursing services to get a feedback on these aspects are recommended.

Proceso de trabajo del gerente en el oficio de enfermeros en unidad hospitalar - una visión de los enfermeros

Nesta pesquisa delimitamos como objeto de estudo a visao do enfermeiro quanto ao processo de trabalho do gerente de enfermagem. Temos como objetivos: conhecer o conceito dos enfermeiros sobre gerencia em enfermagem, identificar a compreensao dos enfermeiros quanto ao processo de trabalho da gerencia de enfermagem; e verificar qual a importância atribuida ao trabalho do gerente de enfermagem. Como referencial, utilizaram-se teorias administrativas, conceitos de gerencia. Sua abordagem e qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso, realizada em um Hospital Universitario no municipio de Niteroi, RJ. Foi utilizado como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionario com perguntas abertas, respondido por 10 enfermeiras. Os resultados mostram enfermeiras com conhecimento basico sobre gerencia e o processo de trabalho do gerente visto como muito complicado.
