Journal ArticleDOI

Busbar Design and Optimization for Voltage Overshoot Mitigation of a Silicon Carbide High-Power Three-Phase T-Type Inverter

TL;DR: In this article, the busbar design for a 250-kW SiC three-level T-type inverter is investigated, and a hybrid busbar structure with printed circuit board based buffer circuit using high-frequency decoupling capacitors is designed and evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design of a High-Efficiency, High Specific-Power Three-Level T-Type Power Electronics Building Block for Aircraft Electric-Propulsion Drives

TL;DR: The design and fabrication procedure of a modular dc–ac three-level t-type single phase-leg power electronics building block (PEBB) rated for 100-kW, 1-kV dc-link is reported for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and Evaluation of Laminated Busbar for Three-Level T-Type NPC Power Electronics Building Block With Enhanced Dynamic Current Sharing

TL;DR: This article focuses on providing the laminated busbar design guidance for a three-level T-type neutral-point-clamped (3L-TNPC) inverter to achieve low stray inductance and balanced inductance distribution between paralleled power switches to achieve equalized dynamic current sharing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Space-Charge Accumulation and Its Impact on High-Voltage Power Module Partial Discharge Under DC and PWM Waves: Testing and Modeling

TL;DR: In this article, a high-voltage dc and pulsewidth modulation (PWM) excitations between different terminals during different switching intervals are investigated. And the authors provide a group of PDIV comparisons of packaging insulation under dc and PWM waveforms and discloses discrepancies in these PDIV results with respect to their excitations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improved Space Vector Modulation for Neutral-Point Balancing Control in Hybrid-Switch-Based T-Type Neutral-Point-Clamped Inverters With Loss and Common-Mode Voltage Reduction

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared different space vector modulation (SVM) strategies for neutral point voltage balancing (NPVB) control in three-level (3-L) T-type neutral-point-clamped (TNPC) inverters, and proposed an improved SVM trimmed for NPVB control in hybrid-switch-based 3-L TNPC inverter with the features of loss and common-mode voltage reduction.
