Mild oxidation of alcohols with O-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) in ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium chloride and water.

TL;DR: A mild, efficient, and eco-friendly procedure for the oxidation of alcohols with IBX in ionic liquid [bmim]Cl and water has been developed and gives excellent yields of the corresponding carbonyl compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hypervalent iodine in synthesis. 77. an efficient method for the synthesis of n-arylindoles by the copper-catalyzed n-arylation of indole with diaryliodonium salts

TL;DR: In this paper, a copper-catalyzed N-arylation of indole with diaryliodonium salts is described, and good yields are obtained by using diary-lodonium-based N-arylindoles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hypervalent iodine in synthesis. 84. facile synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-thiadiazoles by oxidative dimerization of thioamides using polymer-supported iodobenzene diacetate

TL;DR: A facile synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4thiadiazoles by oxidative dimerization of thioamides using polymer-supported iodobenzene diacetate has been reported in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hypervalent iodine in synthesis. 75. a convenient synthesis of oxadiazoles by palladium-catalyzed carbonylation and cyclization of diaryliodonium salts and amidoximes

TL;DR: In this article, 3,5-Disubstituted-1,2,4-oxadiazoles were prepared in one-pot procedure in moderate yields via the palladium-catalyzed carbonylation of diaryliodonium salts with amidoximes under one atmosphere of carbon monoxide followed by intramolecular dehydrative cyclization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organic reactions in ionic liquids: ionic liquid-promoted efficient synthesis of N-alkyl and N-arylphthalimides

TL;DR: Phthalic anhydride reacts rapidly with Aromatic and aliphatic amines in ionic liquid [Bmim][PF6] or [BF4] at 130 °C to give N-aryl and N-alkylphthalimides in excellent yields as mentioned in this paper.
