Structure and Photoluminescence Tuning Features of Mn2+- and Ln3+-Activated Zn-Based Heterometal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) with a Single 5-Methylisophthalic Acid Ligand

TL;DR: Seven novel 3D homo- and hetero-MOFs with a rich variety of network topologies synthesized hydrothermally based on a single 5-methylisophthalic acid ligand indicate that all of the compounds exhibit photoluminescence in the solid state at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anhydrous Lanthanide MOFs and Direct Photoluminescent Sensing for Polyoxometalates in Aqueous Solution

TL;DR: The very promise for the highly sensitive sensing for polyoxometalates, together with the characteristic of the reversible fluorescence response, suggest that solid-state tip-Eu can be an excellent candidate for the directly photoluminescent detection of POMs in aqueous solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comparison study of aliphatic and aromatic structure directing agents influencing the crystal and electronic structures, and properties of iodoplumbate hybrids: water induced structure conversion and visible light photocatalytic properties.

TL;DR: The comparative study reveals that aliphatic amines and aromatic species contribute differently to the crystal and electronic structures, and the properties of the hybrids, while 1-4 exhibit interesting water induced structure conversions, while 5 and 6 can be used as heterogeneous photocatalysts for dye wastewater treatment under visible light irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Different Contributions of Aliphatic and Conjugated Organic Cations to Both the Crystal and Electronic Structures: Three Hybrid Iodoargentates Showing Two Isomers of the (AgI2)– Chain

TL;DR: In this paper, three new hybrid Iodoargentates (H2pipe)0.5(α-AgI2) (1), (Me2teda)2+ (2), and (H 2dpe)2 + (3) have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions, whereby the aliphatic organic cations (Piperazine, teda, triethylenediamine) and conjugated organic cation(H2dpe), respectively, exhibit different contributions to both the crystal and electronic structures.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Family of Octagonal-Prismatic Lanthanide Coordination Cages Assembled from Unique Ln17 Clusters and Simple Cliplike Dicarboxylate Ligands.

TL;DR: The studies highlight the structural diversity of multigonal-prismatic metal coordination cages and provide a new direction in the design of cagelike multifunctional materials by the introduction of lanthanide clusters and other suitable cliplike ligands.
