Doping-Enhanced Short-Range Order of Perovskite Nanocrystals for Near-Unity Violet Luminescence Quantum Yield

TL;DR: Density functional theory calculations reveal that Ni doping of perovskites causes an increase of defect formation energy and does not introduce deep trap states in the band gap, which is suggested to be the main reason for the improved local structural order and near-unity PLQY in undoped NCs.
Journal ArticleDOI

X-ray-activated long persistent phosphors featuring strong UVC afterglow emissions

TL;DR: This work demonstrates a strategy for creating a new generation of persistent phosphor that exhibits strong ultraviolet C emission with an initial power density over 10 milliwatts per square meter and an afterglow of more than 2 h, and shows that the ultraviolet C after glow intensity of the yielded phosphor is sufficiently strong for sterilization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Defect-Triggered Phase Transition in Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals

Abstract: All-inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have emerged as a class of low-cost and high-efficiency light-emitting materials. However, the structure and phase transition behavior of these NCs remai...
