Study of incomplete transformations of near equiatomic TiNi shape memory alloys by DSC methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the incomplete transformation of TiNi shape memory alloys was investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and the results showed that the incomplete transform can induce multistage phase transformation in a sample showing R-phase transformation, when the turn back temperature located in a value between Rf and Ms only showed one endothermic peak.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanomechanical behavior of single crystalline SiC nanotubes revealed by molecular dynamics simulations

TL;DR: In this paper, the Tersoff potentials were used to study the response of single crystalline SiC nanotubes under tensile, compressive, torsional, combined tension-torsional and combined compression-Torsional strains.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transition Metal Adsorption Promotes Patterning and Doping of Graphene by Electron Irradiation

TL;DR: In this article, an ab initio molecular dynamics study of the effect of transition metal (TM) adatoms (Sc-Zn) on the threshold displacement energy (TDE) of graphene is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Substrate Integrated Folded Waveguide (SIFW) Partial H-Plane Filter with Quarter Wavelength Resonators

TL;DR: In this article, a substrate integrated folded waveguide (SIFW) partial H-plane bandpass filter, consisting of quarter wavelength resonators, is presented, where two adjacent quarter-wavelength resonators are coupled by connecting an admittance inverter and an impedance inverter alternately.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser using a graphene saturable absorber

TL;DR: In this paper, a graphene-based passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser is demonstrated, which produces stable pulses with a typical pulse width of ∼ 9.0 µs at a pulse repetition rate ranging from 8.3 to 12.5 kHz.
