Adsorption of antimony onto iron oxyhydroxides: adsorption behavior and surface structure.

TL;DR: Adsorption behaviors and surface structure of antimony (III/V) on iron oxides were investigated using batch adsorption techniques, surface complexation modeling (SCM), X-ray photon spectroscopy (XPS), and extendedX-ray absorption fine structure spectroscope (EXAFS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of antimony(V) and antimony(III) from drinking water by coagulation–flocculation–sedimentation (CFS)

TL;DR: The adsorption mechanism is used to rationalize and simulate Sb/FC coagulation with good result by incorporating diffuse-layer model (DLM), indicating the impracticability of AS application for antimony removal.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of antimony (III) and antimony (V) from drinking water by ferric chloride coagulation: Competing ion effect and the mechanism analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of competing ions on antimony (III/V) removal by ferric chloride (FC) coagulation was comprehensively investigated, and it was shown that Sb(III) removal remained highly effective, and was only slightly affected by the presence of HCO 3 − and SO 4 2−.
